Bianca Ryan “That’s Not Me”

•September 25, 2008 • Leave a Comment

Teen singing sensation Bianca Ryan took the world by storm in 2006 when she won the first season of AMERICA’S GOT TALENT. She is now a little older so will her new, edgier, older music still be fantastic to her teeny-bopper loving fans?

….I’m sure it will. “That’s Not Me” is an amazing track. It shows her amazing vocal range with an amazing tune and it is also lyrically beautiful. “That’s Not Me” is Kelly Clarkson meets Paramore meets Whitney Houston (vocally) meets Anastasia. Bianca’s voice is simply angelic and the song is practically garunteed to be a hit.

Chris Crocker “Mind in the Gutter”

Chris Crocker became internationally famous with his YouTube plea for the media to leave Britney Spears alone but will his new adventure, his music, be a sucessfull as his internet viral videos?

Chris’s voice isn’t strong, however his debut single “Mind in the Gutter” has a hot beat and his voice being electronified makes it impossible to forget and very ear-catching. It’s a cool song with a good tune. I am super excited to hear the rest of his tracks that he is working on when his debut album Turned On is released semi-early 09. Jon Asher, one of the world’s hottest and most-talented new music producers, produces “Mind in the Gutter”. The song is currently available to purchase on iTunes and has so far been a huge hit, going into the top 100 within a few hours of release. No music video for the single has yet been released.

Leona Lewis “Forgive Me”

•September 21, 2008 • Leave a Comment

She’s won the heart’s of the world. She took over England in 2006, took over America in 2008, then she took over the world. This is her first fast, up-beat, a song you can dance to – kindof’ song. Will her ballad loving fans love “Forgive Me” and if they dont will they..forgive her?

…That depends. The way I see it, Leona and her producers (one of which is superstar AKON), especially on this track, out of all the track’s on her debut album Spirit, this is the cleverest one. They are clever with this track. They’ve thought, “How can we make an up-beat, catchy, hip-hop song but still show of Leona’s amazing and bold voice?”. If that goal is what they were trying to achieve, they succeeded. This is her first fast, up-beat song to be released on single and it still show’s of Leona’s Celine Dion – Whitney Houston – Diana Ross kind of voice. That to me, is a trimuph on it’s own. “Forgive Me” is a catchy song. It’s the kind of song that if you don’t like it the first time you listen to it, it will probably grow on you. Leona sure has a big carrer ahead of her.

Rihanna “Disturbia”

•September 20, 2008 • Leave a Comment

Whatever you want to think, Rihanna is without a doubt the hottest and brightest star at the moment. “Umbrella” was one of the best selling and most popular songs of 2007 but does her latest track “Disturbia” live up to the world’s expectations?

…It certainly does. Disturbia is a new Rihanna. She is beginning to re-invent herself everytime she records a new album or a new track. Disturbia proves just that. Disturbia stars off with a creepy Bum-Bum-Bee-Da! But it soon becomes one of the hottest tracks of the year. Disturbia is Rihanna’s best song yet, with a fast, up-beat tempo and a catchy tune. Rihanna’s voice sounds beautiful but sounds completley electronified. The lyrics are great and are a real credit to the writers – Andre Merrit, Chris Brown & Robert Allen.
